PRP-Platelet Rich Plasma - [Hair Growth Stimulation]

Treatment Time:
60 minutes per session

What It Is

Commonly Treated Areas

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a regenerative treatment that uses a person’s own blood to promote healing and rejuvenation. In aesthetics, PRP is particularly popular for its natural approach to skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and anti-aging.

Blood is drawn from the patient. The blood is then centrifuged to

isolate platelet-rich plasma. The concentrated PRP (rich in growth factors) is injected or micro-needled into targeted areas.

Facial rejuvenation "Vampire Facial" - Improves the texture, tone, and glow of skin

Hair restoration - Stimulates dormant follicles, reduces hair loss

Under-eye treatment - Reduces dark circles, fine lines, and puffiness

Acne scars & texture - Promotes collagen remodelling

Stretch marks & scars - Enhances skin healing and elasticity

Once in the tissue, platelets degranulate and release growth factors

PDGF (Platelet-Derived GF) - Stimulates new blood vessel formation,

VEGF (Vascular Endothelial GF) - Promotes angiogenesis, tissue oxygenation

TGF-β (Transforming GF Beta) - Stimulates collagen  and reduces inflammation

EGF (Epidermal GF) - Aids skin cell turnover and regeneration

IGF (Insulin-like GF) -Supports cell growth and repair

These growth factors activate fibroblasts, increase extracellular matrix

production, and stimulate stem cells in the skin or hair follicles.

How It Works

Benefits

✅ Step 1: Blood Collection

A small amount of blood (10–20 mL) is drawn from your vein, similar to a standard blood test.

✅ Step 2: Centrifugation

The blood is spun in a centrifuge for 5–10 minutes to separate:

Red blood cells (bottom layer)

Platelet-poor plasma (top layer)

Platelet-rich plasma (middle layer)

The middle layer is extracted. It contains 3–5 times more platelets than normal blood.

✅ Step 3: Application to the Skin

PRP is applied in two main ways depending on the aesthetic goal

For Skin:

✅ Increases collagen and elastin production

✅ Improves skin texture and firmness

✅ Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and scars

✅ Enhances hydration and glow

For Hair:

✅ Prolongs the anagen (growth) phase

✅ Increases follicle vascularisation

✅ Activates dormant hair follicles

✅ Reduces inflammation around follicles
